Forecaster Dmitry Ryabov on ONT TV channel warned that the week from February 9 to 15 in Belarus will be cold and unstable. According to him, the second week of February will show the full contrast of this month.

The beginning of the week will remain frosty: sunny weather and an influx of arctic air are expected. And strong cold wind will further enhance the feeling of cold, and the temperature will feel lower than actual.
In the middle of the week, weak atmospheric fronts will pass through the country, bringing light snow. Overall, the air temperature will be 6-8 degrees below the climatic norm.
On Monday, February 9, under the influence of the Scandinavian anticyclone, temperatures at night are expected to be from -17 to -24 degrees. During the day, it will be from -9 in the Brest region to -15 in the Vitebsk region. No precipitation is forecast, but black ice is possible on roads. Wind – northerly.
On Tuesday, February 10, frosts will persist, no significant precipitation is expected. In places, fog, hoarfrost, and slippery roads are possible. At night and in the morning – from -16 to -23 degrees, during the day – from -2 in the Brest region to -13 in the Mogilev region. Wind – south-easterly.
From Wednesday, February 11, an atmospheric front will begin to arrive, which will slightly weaken the frosts and bring snow. The weather will be cloudy with clearings, in places fog and black ice are possible on roads. Wind – southerly. At night, the temperature will range from -8 in the southwest to -20 in the northeast. During the day, it will be coldest in Vitebsk (around -8), and warmest in Brest (around 0).
On February 12 and 13, the weather will again be determined by a cold northern anticyclone. Precipitation will move to the southern regions of the country, in places fog and black ice are possible. The wind will be gusty, north-easterly. On Thursday night, temperatures are expected from -8 in the south to -20 in the north, during the day – from 0 in the Brest region to -12 in the Vitebsk region. On Friday, no significant changes are forecast: at night – up to -22 in the northeast, during the day – from -3 in Brest to -12 in Vitebsk.
On the weekend, February 14 and 15, an active western front will arrive in Belarus. On Saturday, snowfall is expected – from light to quite intense, gusty wind and possible blizzards. At night, temperatures will be from -8 to -15, during the day – from -3 to -9 degrees.
On Sunday, snow will continue in many areas, which may complicate the road situation. The wind will change to north-westerly. Temperatures at night will vary: from +2 in the Brest region to -5 in the northeast of the Vitebsk region.
