"Economic Terror." Russia attacked an American confectionery factory in Sumy Oblast
Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha reported another Russian attack targeting a civilian object — the production facilities of the American corporation Mondelez in the city of Trostianets, Sumy Oblast.

This enterprise is one of the largest U.S. investment projects in Ukraine and has been operating in the market since the mid-1990s.
A missile hit one of the production buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but significant damage was done to the infrastructure.
Andrii Sybiha emphasized that the factory produces exclusively food products and has no connection to the military sphere: "This is not a military target, but a factory that has been operating since the 1990s, producing world-famous brands, providing jobs for Ukrainians, and contributing to both our and the American economy."
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed that such strikes are a direct attack on U.S. economic interests.
According to him, the Kremlin's actions make any dialogue on economic cooperation with Washington impossible: "Moscow cannot talk about economic dialogue with the United States while attacking U.S.-owned production facilities. Strikes on peaceful industry are not war; they are deliberate economic terror."
The factory in Trostianets is a gigantic confectionery production facility, where Milka and Korona chocolate, Oreo cookies, Barney biscuits, as well as products from TUC, Halls, and Dirol brands are manufactured.
