Maslenitsa festivities took place near the supermarket at Plekhanova Street, 91 – on the site of the former "Serebryanka" department store, writes Onliner.by.

The reason for the excitement was the distribution of pancakes, organized by the "Santa" retail chain. A total of about 2000 pancakes were distributed in the capital. The pancakes on site came with caviar, cheese, fish, and sweet fillings, and were given to everyone without additional conditions.

Several thousand people came to the celebration – mainly families with children. A host, DJ, and animators worked for the guests, and contests with prizes were held. One of the most popular entertainments was a competition to toss and flip a large pancake dummy.

Maslenitsa events also took place in Grodno, Gomel, Brest, Mogilev, Vitebsk, and Pinsk.
