According to the Investigative Committee, at least 2.11 grams of the dangerous substance were found on the man. A case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, which provides for liability for illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, or manufacture of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without intent to sell.
The article's sanction provides for punishment ranging from restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for a term of two to five years. The man was detained and taken into custody. According to the law, the mere fact of possessing a prohibited substance is considered a completed offense.
It is not reported whether this man's case is connected to the recent raid by Russian teenagers on one of the cottages in this locality, which was also likely connected to drug-related matters.
