"Horizont" Released an Orange Laptop as a Symbol of Belarusian Women
The "Horizont" holding company has started mass production of a new model of Belarusian laptops, reported on CTV. The release of the new product was timed to coincide with March 8th.

The new laptop, as reported, features a very thin body and light weight — less than one kilogram. It also stands out with its unusual case color, which was named "cosmic orange."
The developers say that the announced Year of Belarusian Women in Belarus inspired them to create this model. Therefore, the laptop was conceived as a symbol of the modern woman — bright, active, technological, and purposeful.
The company notes that laptop production at the holding began back in 2022. Since then, the assortment has significantly expanded, and the lineup now includes more than 30 different models. Electronic components are manufactured in 11 production areas, and each device undergoes several stages of quality control.
Company representatives also reported that the factory has already begun independently producing some important components, such as motherboards and SSD drives. In addition to standard checks, laptops also undergo stress tests: they operate for several hours in intensive mode to check reliability.
"Horizont" claims that their computer equipment is in demand not only in Belarus but also abroad. According to the holding's representatives, in the first two months of the year, computer product exports grew by more than 85%.
In 2022, "Horizont" presented its first laptop called H-book MAK4, which was positioned as a "domestic development." During the presentation on September 1, 2022, Alexander Lukashenka demonstrated it, noting that at that time it contained about 12% Belarusian components, with plans to increase this share to 30% by the end of the year. However, experts interviewed by "Nasha Niva" expressed doubts about these figures, suggesting that the Belarusian part might be limited to elements such as rubber feet or a logo sticker with "H."
