A book is being published about traditional interiors of Belarusian homes
The book «Traditional Interior. Personalities» is being published, in which rural interiors are shown through photographs of the interiors themselves, portraits of the heroes, as well as photos of bedspreads and towels, pokuts (red corners), embroideries, and stories about the lives of 9 residents of different generations from all over Belarus, «Budzma» writes .

«This is the story of 80-year-old Dzed Kasmach from under Valozhyn, who was cured by holy water and prayers during the USSR, when faith was forbidden;
and of the world-famous Baba Katsya (Katsyaryna Aliakseyeuna Panchani) from the village of Pahost, about her fate and house-museum, who did so much for traditional culture and experienced so much grief through the death of her sons;
it's also the stories of sisters Viera (who cannot walk) and deaf-mute Mania Nikanovich, who lived their entire lives together and never knew love;
and the story of 90-year-old Nelia Mikhnavets, so in love with pigeons that she embroidered them, probably in 50 different variations;
and the incantations of the whisperer Viera Yakaŭleŭna Tsarykievich, who healed with whispers even doctors from erysipelas and snake bites;
and the young Shatsiar family, who collected one of the largest collections of bedspreads and embroideries in a village house near Maladziechna;
and the already deceased Alena Mikitaŭna Muzychenka, who lived without electricity or communications in the Chernobyl village of Bartalameeuka, where she returned after being relocated to a city apartment.

Also included in the book are two texts: one by curator Hanna Karpenka about the photographic project and archive «Traditional Interior», and another by folklorist Tatsiana Valodzina about the distinctiveness of Belarusian interior design, — the creators of the project «Belarusian Traditional Interior» wrote on their social networks.

The book has 272 pages in English and Belarusian. With a vivid color design and sincere stories of Belarusians.
