Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he sometimes drives a car himself, but this happens rarely; more often, the president travels incognito without a motorcade escort. The Russian leader stated this during a direct line, RBC reports .

Putin was asked how he gets information about "people's problems": does he receive this information by driving "incognito," referring to Putin's recent statement that he sometimes travels around the city without a motorcade.
"I didn't quite say that I drive around Moscow myself incognito. That also happens, but very rarely. I just said that sometimes I travel without any traffic police escort and so on. Rather, it's more often like that. And these are not useless trips," the Russian president replied.
