Ukraine and Russia conducted another exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers
Ukraine and Russia have again exchanged bodies of soldiers who died during combat operations. This was announced by the Coordination Headquarters of Ukraine for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky.

According to the report from the Ukrainian side, 1003 bodies of fallen soldiers, which Russia claims belong to Ukrainian servicemen, were returned to the country. At the same time, Medinsky announced that 1000 bodies were transferred to Ukraine, and 26 to Russia.
An agreement on the transfer of bodies was reached during negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations, which took place in May and June of this year in Istanbul. In total, during this time, Russia has transferred more than 10,000 bodies of fallen soldiers to Ukraine, and Ukraine has transferred more than 200 to Russia. This difference, as noted, may be due to the fact that Russian troops are advancing in many directions, and therefore the bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen more often remain in territories controlled by the Russian side.
