Elon Musk becomes the first person in history with assets over $700 billion
Elon Musk has become the first person in history whose assets have exceeded $700 billion, Forbes reports . This happened after the Delaware Supreme Court overturned a previous lower court ruling that voided Musk's compensation in the form of Tesla stock options. Their value is now estimated at $139 billion.

Earlier this December, Musk became the first person with assets over $600 billion. According to Forbes, Musk's stake in SpaceX (approximately 42%) grew to $336 billion after a December tender, and the company's total valuation reached $800 billion, compared to $400 billion in August.
Now, Musk's most valuable asset is once again Tesla. In addition to stock options, Musk owns 12% of the company's common shares, valued at $199 billion. The total valuation of his assets in Tesla is $338 billion.
His stake in SpaceX is now slightly less valuable — $2 billion less than his assets in Tesla. However, it is SpaceX that could make Musk the world's first trillionaire after its IPO in 2026, when the company could be valued at $1.5 trillion.
Google co-founder Larry Page holds the second position in Forbes' billionaire ranking with $252.7 billion, followed by Oracle chairman Larry Ellison in third place ($242.8 billion), Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in fourth ($239.4 billion), and Google co-founder Sergey Brin in fifth place ($233.2 billion).
