"No miracle happened." Katsiaryna Vadanosava Said Her Mother Is In Critical Condition
Katsiaryna Vadanosava, TV presenter and singer, revealed that her mother, Nelli Vadanosava, suffered a brain hemorrhage on December 23. Katsiaryna shared on Facebook that her mother's condition is very serious.

"My mother is dying. No miracle happened.
She never regained consciousness. The day before yesterday, she was connected to a ventilator and other life support systems. But her brain is irreversibly damaged, we are left with only one path.
I don't know how much time I have left. Maybe 5 minutes, maybe 5 days, as long as her body is still taking oxygen," Katsiaryna writes.
An hour after the stroke, the woman was taken for surgery. A blood clot was removed through a blood vessel.
"But no miracle happened. Half of her brain is filled with blood. This is irreversible.
While I was waiting for 7 hours, I called a medical contact at Petra who looks after refugees awaiting international protection. They said that the Refugee Affairs Office had not added my mother to the database of those covered by insurance. There's no one at the office until Monday – it's holidays. By law, my mother should be covered, but due to bureaucracy, this turned out not to be the case.
I don't know if I will be able to secure her coverage. I don't know if she will be alive until Monday. The bill for the operation and other procedures is tens to hundreds of thousands of zlotys. I don't know the exact amount yet, but the figures are in that range.
And I need to prepare for farewell," Katsiaryna wrote.
More than a year ago, the TV presenter's mother left Belarus due to pressure from the KGB and applied for international protection. Recently, she had been living with her daughter's family in Białystok.
In the autumn, the Polish Border Guard decided to deport her to Lithuania due to bureaucratic misunderstandings: the authorities did not take into account that the international protection case was still being processed and a court hearing had been scheduled. Later, the deportation was cancelled.
The reason for the deportation threat was that the woman entered Poland on a Lithuanian visa. This is related to the so-called Dublin Regulation, which determines which country is responsible for examining an application for asylum or international protection.
