Zelenskyy on Whether He's Ready to Meet Putin

The President of Ukraine is ready to meet with Vladimir Putin in any format, but it is important that the actions and words of the Russian leader align. Zelenskyy stated this during an online briefing, writes UNIAN.

He noted that it looks "a bit strange" when Putin tells US President Donald Trump that he wants to end the war and that it is allegedly his desire, but at the same time declares in the media that he wants and is ready to continue the war.

"He strikes us with missiles, openly talks about it, rejoices at the results of the destruction of civilian infrastructure, gives some orders to his generals — where to go, what to seize, etc.," Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, such actions by Putin do not correspond with the allegedly peaceful rhetoric he uses in dialogue with Trump.

"I told the US President that, in my opinion, all these messages have a slightly different character. But once again: how to meet, in what format to agree — we don't care. We are ready. It is important that the actions and words of the Russian leader align," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
