Viachaslau has a wife and two young children, as well as a dog with whom he enjoys walking in the park. He and his children love to travel by bicycle together.
What is the story about?
The story about "radio amateur spies" aired on STB on January 15, 2026. In it, presenter Roman Protasevich claims that a structure for intercepting secret information allegedly operated under the guise of radio amateur communities.
Some of the arrested are charged with espionage (Article 358 of the Criminal Code) and treason (Article 356). The latter carries a punishment up to the death penalty.
In the STB story, monitoring of available frequencies is interpreted as "pumping out state secrets" and an attempt on Lukashenka's security. The publication of recordings online is presented as "transferring informational sovereignty" into foreign hands. However, the connection of the people in the story to foreign intelligence services is not proven in any way.
The liquidation of a "large network" of more than 50 people is announced. It is clarified that seven people have been arrested.
Previously, on December 24, 2025, KGB chairman Ivan Tsertsel announced the liquidation of a "network" that was eavesdropping on pilots.
Allegedly, technical means were installed that allowed eavesdropping on negotiations of pilots of both civil and military aviation. Also, Tsertsel claimed, monitoring was carried out around restricted facilities.
