He noted that law enforcement agencies would be strengthened with additional personnel to effectively combat left-wing extremism without compromising the fulfillment of tasks in other areas.

In connection with the attack on the energy system, Dobrindt announced a large-scale information campaign in Berlin and Brandenburg, dedicated to the reward announced by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA). The BKA will strengthen its staff to receive citizen reports around the clock.
The minister noted that more than 100,000 people were affected by the consequences of the attack. As a result of the cable bridge arson in Berlin, approximately 45,000 apartments and 2,200 commercial properties were temporarily left without electricity.
The left-wing extremist group Vulkan claimed responsibility for the attack. Federal and state criminal police offices, as well as the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, confirmed the group's statement of involvement as truthful.
