Owner of a goat farm in Buda-Kashalyova district complains about incorrectly calculated exorbitant taxes. Hundreds of animals could die
Liudmila Huliankova, head of the agricultural enterprise «Vakhavyak», appealed to journalists of «Mocnyya Naviny» (Strong News) publication for help. The farm in the village of Sinichyna, Buda-Kashalyova district, may cease operations, and then about 400 goats, including pregnant and very young ones, could die.

As the woman explains, previously a pig complex for 14,000 heads successfully operated on this site. But in 2022, swine fever arrived, and all the animals were destroyed — some had to be slaughtered and buried right on the spot. The farm did not receive insurance payments. After this, some of the founders left the business, and those who remained decided to start from scratch and engage in goat breeding.

As Liudmila explains, the goal was not only to earn money but also to establish the production of healthy goat milk, especially needed for children with allergies. They started with just 20 goats, collected animals from all over the country, renovated sheds, sought workers, and found markets for sale.
For three years, the enterprise operated at significant losses, took out loans, and literally struggled to survive. And only when the farm finally broke even, increased its herd and milk volumes, new problems arose.

The tax service arrested the accounts and presented a debt of 312 thousand rubles, not including penalties. The reason is an accounting error: the sale of part of the buildings by former founders was incorrectly processed, and the farm was retroactively stripped of its right to agricultural taxes. Although for two years, declarations were accepted without comment.
Lawyers claim that everything was done correctly according to accounting rules, but the tax authorities insist on a fine.
In addition, the district executive committee announced that the renovated sheds are being taken back, despite the fact that the enterprise had fulfilled conditions for 17 years, after which the buildings were supposed to transfer to its ownership. They offered to extend the lease, but at a price unaffordable for the farm.
Liudmila says that she appealed to various authorities, but everywhere she heard the same thing: 'you are private owners, there's no way to help.'
Now the enterprise faces problems with both milk sales and salary payments — accounts are blocked, people are resigning. Closing the farm means condemning the goats to death, as meat processing plants do not accept goats. Meanwhile, the herd will soon grow to 500 heads.

The head hopes that media publicity will help find a way out of the situation, because otherwise, she will only be able to watch as the animals die and the business, into which years of work have been invested, falls apart.
