Minor BMW repair ended in fire for the owner, damage amounted to 10 thousand rubles

The BMW owner brought the car to an individual entrepreneur for repair. The mechanic needed to restore the functionality of the heater and windshield wiper.

During the work, according to the specialist, he "checked" the wiring, while the battery was connected to the car's electrical system.

Two days later, upon arriving at work, the mechanic discovered the repaired car was on fire – the dashboard and the vehicle's interior were damaged by flames.

Specialists of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations for the Brest region established that the direct cause of the fire was emergency fire-hazardous operating modes of the electrical wiring in the right part of the dashboard.

Automotive appraisal experts estimated the damage caused to the BMW car at more than 10 thousand rubles.
