All foreigners entering Belarus will have their fingerprints taken
Belarus has introduced mandatory dactyloscopy (fingerprinting) for all foreigners and stateless persons undergoing border control, as well as for those subject to deportation, expulsion, or transfer to another state under international readmission agreements. The corresponding law was signed by Alexander Lukashenka.

In addition, fingerprints must be submitted by people who are prohibited or undesirable from entering Belarus, as well as individuals for whom border guards have decided to take fingerprints in the interests of national security.
The right to obtain and use dactyloscopic information is held by criminal prosecution bodies, courts, internal affairs bodies, the border service, and other structures engaged in operational-investigative activities.
Alexander Lukashenka's press service notes that the law is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of dactyloscopy and timely detection of threats to national security, as well as neutralizing their sources both within the country and beyond its borders.
