Belarusian scientists reconstructed the face of a Belarusian woman who lived near Minsk 500 years ago. Here's what she looked like
Scientists from the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus reconstructed the face of a resident of Haradzishcha near Minsk, who lived in the period from the 14th to the 16th century, the institution's Telegram channel reports.

Anthropologists and reconstructive artists presented the updated appearance of a girl who lived several centuries ago near modern Minsk.
It all began with archaeological excavations in the village of Haradzishcha, conducted by archaeologist Andrey Voitsekhovich. Researchers managed to find an ancient rural cemetery with 25 burials.
Thanks to the fact that some skeletons were very well preserved, specialists were able to conduct a detailed anthropological analysis and, based on it, reconstruct the face of one of the residents of that time.
The burial itself dates back to the period from the 14th to the 16th century. This work allows us to literally look into the eyes of a person from Belarus's distant past.
