In severe frosts, the demand for technical support services has sharply increased.
Drivers often cannot start their car on their own if the car battery is dead and there are no "jumper" cables. As the Minsk-News agency found out, in the capital, jump-starting a passenger car battery can cost 25 rubles.
Technical assistance service specialists say that in severe frost, problems with engine starting most often arise precisely because of dead batteries. This does not depend on the make or year of manufacture of the car. Drivers are advised to fill the fuel tank completely and take the battery home, into the warmth, to prevent capacity loss.
In the capital's car assistance services, prices for winter services for cars are approximately the same. To "jump-start" a passenger car can cost from 25 rubles and up, a truck - from 70 rubles.
If the tank is empty, delivery of the required amount of fuel will cost from 50 rubles. At the same time, on-site inspection of the generator, starter, and battery condition may be free of charge.
But before calling, the driver must make sure the battery is indeed not working. Because if the car didn't start for other reasons (for example, due to a starter breakdown, engine system issues, freezing, or lack of fuel), the full cost of the service will have to be paid. Therefore, first, you need to check if the headlights are on, if the window defroster is working, etc.
As one of the capital's companies reported, in recent days the number of calls for help has increased several times, and their tow truck operates around the clock. Transporting a passenger car weighing over 2 tons, including a universal, sedan, hatchback, will cost from 100 rubles.
Another car assistance service reported that they charge 70 rubles and up for towing a passenger car, from 75 rubles for a minivan, and from 80 rubles for an SUV.
