Belarusian artist Uladzimir Tkachenka has died at the age of 77. His friends announced his death on social media.

Uladzimir Tkachenka was born on October 30, 1948, in Minsk. He graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. From 1979, he led a studio at the Palace of Culture of the Minsk Tractor Works.
He participated in art exhibitions since 1976. He worked in the field of easel painting, specializing in landscapes, portraits, and still lifes.
The farewell ceremony for Uladzimir Tkachenka will take place on February 4 at the Church of the Optina Elders in Minsk (Kasmanaŭtaŭ, 24). The burial will be at Lesny cemetery in Shabany (13:00).
