As announced by the organizers, viewers will be presented with the director's cut of the film, featuring additional scenes. The company notes that the project is timed to coincide with the upcoming 25th anniversary of the release of the first part of Peter Jackson's cult film trilogy — its world premiere took place in New Zealand on December 10, 2001.

The film will be screened under the localized title 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' and will be part of a special screening program. According to the network's information, this refers to full dubbing, not screenings with subtitles or voice-over.

Screenings start on February 12.
