It became known why Israeli Arkia did not start flying to Minsk
The main reason turned out to be problems with flight insurance, writes Office Life.

Already in December, Arkia announced its intention to open a direct flight between Minsk and Tel Aviv. Flights were planned to start in February 2026 with a frequency of two times a week — on Mondays and Fridays. However, neither in January nor in February was it possible to purchase tickets on the carrier's website, and Minsk National Airport had no information about the possible start dates for the flights.
According to Israeli aviation sources, the situation is related to the fact that, against the backdrop of geopolitical events in the region and sanctions imposed on Belarus, European insurance companies refused to insure flights to Minsk. In this regard, Arkia appealed to the Israeli authorities with a request to provide state insurance for this route — by analogy with flights to Moscow.
Until the issue of insurance coverage is resolved, the launch of flights to Belarus remains impossible. Meanwhile, it was previously reported that the Belarusian airline Belavia resumed regular flights from Minsk to Tel Aviv on January 8, after an almost four-year break.
