For the 29‑year-old athlete, this is already his second gold medal at the current Olympics, bringing his total number of highest Olympic titles to seven. Thus, Klæbo is just one step away from the Winter Games record: legendary Norwegian skiers Bjørn Dæhlie and Marit Bjørgen, as well as Norwegian biathlete Ole Einar Bjørndalen, currently hold eight gold medals each.
Ahead for the Norwegian is another 10 km freestyle race with an individual start, where a fierce battle is expected with another representative of Norway — Einar Hedegart, who previously competed in biathlon.
