Dzianis Kuchynski held two meetings in the White House — with US President Donald Trump's advisor on European affairs, Charles McLaughlin, and with US Vice President JD Vance's senior advisor, Spiro Ballas.
Key topics of discussion included the continuation of agreements on humanitarian efforts for the release of political prisoners, the impact of negotiations surrounding Ukraine on the situation in Belarus, the worsening conditions of detention for political prisoners, and the regime's hybrid attacks on EU countries.
Kuchynski emphasized two main areas of work: humanitarian — the release of political prisoners, and political — the restoration of Belarus's sovereignty and the launch of democratic transformations after the cessation of repression.
On behalf of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, he thanked Donald Trump for his assistance in the humanitarian sphere and handed over to the White House a draft proposal from the United Transitional Cabinet regarding possible US participation in future democratic transformations in Belarus as an international mediator.
