Former Karabakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan sentenced to 20 years
The Baku Military Court found the politician guilty of war crimes and terrorism against Azerbaijan.

In 2023, Vardanyan was detained by Azerbaijani security forces at the border when he was trying to leave Nagorno-Karabakh.
During his imprisonment, the politician went on a hunger strike and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Two weeks ago, life sentences were given to former President and ex-Speaker of Nagorno-Karabakh Arayik Harutyunyan and David Ishkhanyan, and several other people.
