Arkadzy Skuratovich was a florist and a Candidate of Biological Sciences. He graduated from the Belarusian Pedagogical University in 1980. He worked as a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Flora and Plant Systematics of the Institute of Experimental Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
He studied rare and protected plants, protected natural areas, and bog restoration. He conducted fascinating excursions.
