Like in the USSR: A Belarusian woman showed how rooms look in a sanatorium near Brest

A Belarusian woman was outraged by the living conditions in the "Brestagrozdrawlenitsa" sanatorium because the real rooms do not match the photos on the official website.

Ksenia, a Belarusian woman, shared her review of the "Brestagrozdrawlenitsa" sanatorium on TikTok. In her opinion, the conditions in the sanatorium leave much to be desired, writes BGmedia.

The "Brestagrozdrawlenitsa" sanatorium (or "Berestye") is located in the Brest district, on the territory of the resort of Lake Beloye. According to tourist reviews on Google Maps, its rating is 4.3 out of five stars, which is considered above average. Overall, visitors to "Berestye" rate the services at the location highly.

However, among the drawbacks, some note the "Soviet atmosphere" and "average food quality".

Even four years ago, visitors to the sanatorium drew attention to the lack of proper renovation in various rooms. As can be seen from the recent video shared by Belarusian Ksenia, people's criticism was never taken into account.

In the video review shared by the girl, it is visible that the room in "Brestagrozdrawlenitsa" has not been renovated for a long time: wallpaper is peeling off the walls, door handles seem to be from the times of the USSR, wardrobes barely open, and the laminate flooring is damaged. In the bathroom, rust traces can be seen on the pipe.

“Belarus has great sanatoriums, let's go visit,” the author of the video ironizes. Later, for unknown reasons, she deleted her video.

In the comments under the video, the girl noted that the photos of the rooms on the official website of "Berestye" are completely different. According to her, "everything looks decent there."

As can be seen from the photos on the website berestje.by, the sanatorium rooms indeed look neat and cozy. Some rooms have modern equipment (both single and multi-room), while others have not been renovated for a long time. However, none of the pictures show peeling wallpaper or other shortcomings that the Belarusian woman noted in her video. This, in turn, can mislead tourists who expect a comfortable vacation but end up getting a "pig in a poke."

Prices for health treatment at "Brestagrozdrawlenitsa" — from 97 to 150 rubles per day (depending on room size).

What the commentators say

Various opinions were expressed in the comments under the video. According to some people, the Belarusian woman herself was to blame for the situation because she decided to "save money" on services and chose the cheapest room for herself.

Some even deny the authenticity of the video itself: "I didn't notice anything like that in "Bug". And it's not a fact that they showed a sanatorium here, and not some apartment. Nowadays there are many who want to slander Belarus!" — users note.

Others, on the contrary, considered such conditions unacceptable, because money was paid for them one way or another:

"People, are you serious? What does paying, saving, and the rest have to do with it? Doesn't the very condition of the room, furniture, and appliances bother you? These are not conditions for a person to live in! What is the sanatorium administration looking at? Excuse me, but there's no desire to go to such a place for free, and here money was paid for it," the girl wrote in the comments.
