Popular Russian showman Ivan Urgant, whose show "Evening Urgant" was closed after the start of the war, has returned with a new project on YouTube. The channel was named "Live Urgant".

The artist announced the launch of the channel on December 25, publishing the first video. In it, he explained that the main content would be materials filmed during his travels in 2025.
"We will upload everything that gets uploaded," joked the host.
The last episode of the show "Evening Urgant" aired on "Channel One" in February 2022.
The New York Times wrote that several "influential Russians" appealed to Vladimir Putin with a request to "rehabilitate Urgant," whose show "Evening Urgant" stopped airing after the start of the war with Ukraine. However, according to journalists, Putin refused.
After the start of the war, Ivan Urgant published a black square on Instagram with the words "Fear and pain. NO TO WAR." After this, his television show "Evening Urgant" disappeared from the air of Channel One. The show's closure was not officially announced.
Urgant continues to live in Russia. He works at birthdays and weddings. He also performs abroad.
