In Irkutsk, an "SVO hero" took a hostage and demanded to be taken to the front by helicopter. And then strangled her
His wife and child were taken away after being beaten, so he attacked a random person.

In Irkutsk, a woman and her 7-year-old son hid in a shelter from domestic violence. The man found that shelter and killed another woman.
As Alexander Sobolev, head of the local charity foundation "Obereh" which helps women, recounted, the killer terrorized his wife and seven-year-old son: "It was more than just beatings — real abuse with knife slashes, shoves, humiliations."
The "SVO hero" began waiting for his wife near the shelter. But, never meeting her, on Tuesday evening he grabbed a random woman, a mother of two daughters.
He put a knife to her throat and took her to his apartment.
From the apartment, the man demanded to speak with his wife, and also to summon a military prosecutor for him, so that he could be taken to the front by helicopter.
At night, after several hours of negotiations with police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and military prosecutors, the man came out of the apartment himself. He had strangled the hostage.
"Psychopaths, abusers, murderers, hiding behind their participation in the SVO, are now regularly committing horrific acts, feeling their impunity," Sobolev wrote.
