Instead of Siarhei Sukharau, Siarhei Taranko, the head of Mogilev open-type correctional facility No. 43 (where a political prisoner committed suicide several years ago), will head the prison.

Prison No. 4 in Mogilev
Siarhei Sukharau, head of Mogilev Prison No. 4, who had held the position since 2022 or 2023, has been dismissed.
Prison No. 4 includes the Mogilev pre-trial detention center (where political prisoners from the Mogilev region await trial, as do political prisoners from across the country awaiting appeal court decisions and distribution to one of the Mogilev region's penal colonies) and the prison itself (where repeat offenders are held, including political prisoners additionally convicted for 'disobedience' — for example, Yahor Liabiadok, Valiantsin Stefanovich, Uladzimir Kniha, Uladzimir Hundar).

Siarhei Taranko
Instead of Sukharau, 40-year-old Siarhei Taranko will lead Prison No. 4. His last known rank is lieutenant colonel. Since 2017, Taranko had headed Mogilev open-type correctional facility No. 43. In late 2021, political prisoner Dzmitry Dudoyts from Smarhon ended up in this facility. A week later, he committed suicide.
