Alexander Lukashenka signed decree No. 64 "On improving lottery activities," which amends the previous decree No. 209 from 2007. The main declared goal of the innovations is to protect the interests of minors and prevent gambling addiction among socially vulnerable groups of the population.

The document establishes a strict age limit: individuals under 18 years of age, as well as citizens who have already been restricted from accessing casinos and other gambling establishments, cannot participate in lotteries.
In addition, the decree defines a mechanism for banks to refuse transactions for lottery payments for individuals falling under the restrictions.
Now, topping up a gaming account is only possible in a cashless form, and this is intended to guarantee that the participant has reached 18 years of age.
