On Sunday, January 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish President Karol Nawrocki will visit Vilnius. Together with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, they will participate in commemorative events. The occasion for the high-level meeting is the anniversary of the 1863-1864 Uprising. This is not just a protocol visit, but a symbolic gesture that emphasizes the unity of the three nations.
It was in Vilnius, in Lukiškės Square, that the leaders of the uprising, including the Belarusian national hero Kastuś Kalinoŭski, were executed. In 2019, their miraculously found remains, discovered as a result of a landslide on Gediminas Hill, were solemnly reinterred in a chapel at Rasa Cemetery.

On January 24, a wreath-laying ceremony will also take place in Warsaw. It is expected that Presidents Nawrocki and Nausėda, as well as Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, will participate.
The Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment is named after Belarusian volunteers in Ukraine.
