Official suggests coming to work in Belarusian clothing on Fridays. And set an example herself

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade launched an initiative in December called «Every Friday — Native, Ours» to popularize all things Belarusian.

Katsiaryna Tsikhanchuk, head of a department at the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, says:

«We wanted the difficult working day on Friday and its end to be wonderful and heartfelt thanks to our own, native things. May it be a very good tradition for everyone to spend time on Friday with family, enjoying our delicious Belarusian domestic products.

You can come to work, for example, in Belarusian clothing, and not only in an official style, but you can also approach this issue creatively, unconventionally. All this can be accompanied by listening to Belarusian songs, music, poems. In short, we want to attract even more attention to all things Belarusian.

The special feature of this project is that it has no limitations, frameworks, or prohibitions.»

People are encouraged to tell the agency how they participated in this initiative — via the feedback form located on the Ministry's official website, or by publishing photos and videos on social networks with the hashtag #DayOfNativeOurs.

The young official herself gave a comment on Friday — in Belarusian. And noted that she came to work in a suit from one of the Brest manufacturers.

«I really love the products of our domestic light industry manufacturers.»

Tsikhanchuk noted that there were more than 2000 mentions related to the Ministry's project on social networks.
