A Belarusian woman hung a bird feeder outside her window. See who flew to it
This incredibly beautiful winter gave us not only frosty nights, sunny days and the northern lights, but also an encounter with unusual birds.

Eurasian Hawfinch.
Given the extremely sub-zero temperatures, many Minsk residents have started feeding birds that remained to winter in the capital. A photojournalist from Realt.by hung a feeder right by her house. Here are the beautiful birds that now come to her for a photoshoot in the Minsk suburbs.
— The bird feeder appeared on my window last year. I live in a house outside the city. So, hanging feeders in the yard and feeding birds has become an annual tradition. But this particular spot turned out to be the most convenient for observation and photos. Birds fly in, look around, take seeds, and fly back to the tree. The pine tree near the window is the most successful and picturesque background for shots; that's where the best frames are captured," says Darya.

The girl identifies the birds through a special application, which, based on a photo or sound, tells her what species it is.
For example, this is a Crested Tit.

— I hadn't even suspected the existence of some of these feathered creatures before. In general, birdwatching is quite a meditative and fascinating activity. Especially when unusual individuals appear!
Before you is a European Greenfinch.

And this is a Great Tit.

The girl forms the birds' diet based on recommendations. You can find useful memos online about what is best to add to the feeder.
— My classic mix: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, raw nuts, pieces of dried berries. And most importantly, the feeder must be refilled systematically and regularly; then the birds get used to it and return.
A Bullfinch is easy to recognize.

Darya says that organizing feeders is a pleasant process, which diversifies and adds brightness to everyday life. At the same time, for birds, it is important help and a chance to survive the cold.
The tits will definitely thank you!
