"Belarusian Silovik" slams Russian authorities for stopping strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure

Moscow's decision to agree to a mutual moratorium on strikes against energy facilities sparked an angry growl on a channel linked to Belarusian security agencies.

The radical wing of Lukashenka's supporters would like the war to continue until a victorious end and opposes a compromise resolution to the conflict. Such a conclusion can be drawn from an analysis of how the "Belarusian Silovik" channel presents information. It was one of the first to raise the alarm about the cessation of strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities.

"Alarming news is coming in," — thus began the channel's first message about the moratorium on strikes.

The channel believes that the moratorium is beneficial for Ukraine.

"At night, Trump also stated that Russia has suspended strikes on Ukrainian cities and declared that 'we really appreciate this'. And how Ukraine appreciates it, words cannot convey."

"Belarusian Silovik" criticizes the Kremlin for such a decision: "A day has passed. Zero comments from the Russian side about the agreements with Trump to give Ukraine a break in the energy sector, which is already almost dead."

Strikes on power plants, thermal power plants, and substations deep within Ukrainian territory in no way affect the combat capability of the Ukrainian army. Nevertheless, "Belarusian Silovik" advocates a strategy of total war and sees no point in sparing the civilian population. It reprints a post from the "Rybar" channel, created by employees of Russian special services:

"If it's about sparing the Ukrainian population in cold weather, then it's pointless and will achieve nothing. And to those wishing to muse on the topic that 'in the center and east of so-called Ukraine, our people mainly live, but they are simply intimidated, how can we leave them without heat and electricity?', we suggest visiting Ukrainian city channels and reading the comments of those very same 'our people' there."

"BS" also reposts from another Russian pro-war channel, "Two Majors", which condemns the moratorium but admits that it is not a serf's business to delve into the "economic and other" reasons why Russia is forced to agree to a compromise.

"On the one hand, this is, of course, terrible. Just as the real consequences began to be felt (and even then, clearly exaggerated by Kyiv), we are effectively giving time for repair and stabilization.

On the other hand, the leadership [of Russia] has taken a course towards settling/freezing the conflict, and this readiness somehow needs to be demonstrated in practice. Why such a course has been taken is another question and not for us to answer. There are obviously economic and other reasons."

"Belarusian Silovik" also continues to collect aid for the "second army of the world": "Generators are needed for the front. If someone can afford to buy and transfer them through us to the guys on the front line, or if there's an ownerless one, we would be very happy. We are also ready to buy them ourselves at a reasonable price."

The Telegram channel "Belarusian Silovik" emerged in March 2022, when the Russians stormed Kyiv. Thanks to collaborations with similar Russian Z-channels and the incitement of military hysteria, it soared to 437,000 subscribers — there are few Belarusians among them; it targets an internal Russian audience. "Nasha Niva" followed the traces left by its creator online and previously found out that Artur Haiko, an officer of the GUBAZiK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, is behind the channel.

It is difficult to say how large a portion of Belarusian security forces fully identify themselves with Russia and are guided by such misanthropic ideas as the authors of "Belarusian Silovik". However, it is evident that this portion has carte blanche to act and propagate its Russophile ideology.
