"Zelensky offers contacts. Putin said they are possible in Moscow. This position remains our position, it is quite consistent," RIA Novosti quoted Peskov as saying.
On Friday, Volodymyr Zelensky, in a conversation with journalists, rejected the Kremlin's offer for negotiations in the Russian capital.
"Of course, it's impossible for me to meet with Putin in Moscow. That would be the same as meeting with Putin in Kyiv," the Ukrainian president said. "I publicly invite Putin to Kyiv, if he, of course, dares. I am ready for any format of a leaders' summit, but not in Moscow or Belarus."
