Inna Talkachova, director of the Salihorsk poultry farm, told STB that they plan to produce blue eggs for sale.
"When we entered the market, we had an interesting breed of birds that laid blue eggs. Blue, green. We got all of this in the Czech Republic. But [then] we somehow couldn't bring them [new birds], because there was bird flu, or something else."
Now the poultry farm plans to buy such eggs from a Belarusian farmer.
"We have our own incubator, it's left over from the quails. And [we want to] try to hatch them ourselves," Talkachova shared.
Colored eggs are laid by Araucana chickens. Their eggshells have an unusual color due to a specific gene.
