Maria Kalesnikava does not plan to participate in the elections to the Coordination Council. She stated this on Deutsche Welle, answering viewers' questions.
When a viewer claimed that in such a case she had no right to represent the interests of Belarusians, Kalesnikava retorted: "I respect this opinion, but no one will tell me what and how to do. I decide for myself how I act and communicate with people. I call myself a political activist."
Elections to the 4th convocation of the Coordination Council are scheduled for May 2026. At the moment, Babaryka's supporters are practically not represented in it.
In the preliminary voting, Ivan Kraŭcoŭ was included in one of the electoral lists, but his position was too low to get into the KC as a delegate.
However, he was elected as secretary — Kraŭcoŭ has held this position for several consecutive convocations. He organizes the organizational, technical, and financial support for the activities of the Coordination Council.
