Speaking after a meeting with the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff, and the head of "Mossad," Netanyahu announced a new phase of the conflict.
"Yesterday, we eliminated dictator Khamenei, along with him dozens of representatives of the repressive regime were removed. Now our forces are operating in the heart of Tehran with increasing might, and in the coming days, the intensity will only increase," the Prime Minister stated.
Netanyahu also acknowledged that the operation comes at a cost for Israel, mentioning casualties in Tel Aviv and Beit Shemesh, and expressed condolences to the families of the fallen.
He particularly emphasized the unprecedented scale of the operation and thanked the United States for its support. "We are conducting a campaign in which we are deploying the full might of the Israel Defense Forces — like never before. But in this campaign, we also benefit from the support of the United States, my friend, US President Donald Trump, and the American army," he said.
He concluded his statement with a historically significant declaration for him: "This combination of forces allows us to do what I have sought to achieve for 40 years: to wipe the terrorist regime off the face of the earth. So I promised — and so it will be done."
Sharp change in rhetoric
