Council of the Republic Approved the Bill on the Republican Budget for 2026

At the meeting of the fourth session of the Council of the Republic, the bill "On the Republican Budget for 2026" was approved, writes BelTA.

"The budget draft was formed under conditions requiring special responsibility and foresight, amidst a not-so-simple external conjuncture. The scenario for socio-economic development, approved by Lukashenka's decree on November 3, 2025, was taken as the basis.

Revenues of the republican budget for 2026 are planned at 54.4 billion rubles. More important is the fact that revenues are growing at a rate of 112% compared to the expected level of 2025, outpacing expenses," said Roman Brodav, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance of the Council of the Republic.

Meanwhile, expenditures of the republican budget will amount to 58.7 billion rubles. "42% of the consolidated budget expenditures will be concentrated in the social sphere," noted Roman Brodav.
