After a five-month break, the so-called "city electric trains," or urban line trains according to Belarusian Railways terminology, will start running again in Belarus, writes Blizko.by.

Back in the autumn of last year, it was reported that the city electric train project in Minsk, launched 14 years ago, was effectively halted without official explanations. Initially, modern Stadler trains began to be replaced by old ER9 electric trains, and then the service was cancelled altogether.
Information appeared on forums that the trains had been standing in the depot for a long time and were not running on the line. Later, Belarusian Railways confirmed that the trains were undergoing scheduled maintenance.
It has now become known that the city electric trains are returning to the schedule, but so far only on the Minsk — Belarus route (a station in Zaslaul). In the first days, six pairs of trains are planned, and later — seven. Service will operate from 5 AM to 10 PM.

It is noted, however, that it is not yet possible to buy tickets online at the moment.
