Ukrainian MP died in an accident — crashed quad bike into a minibus
34-year-old Orest Salamakha was from the "Servant of the People" party. In the 2019 presidential elections, he was a confidant of Zelensky.

People's Deputy of Ukraine from the "Servant of the People" party, Orest Salamakha, died in an accident. On Sunday evening, January 25, in Sokolnyky near Lviv, he drove his quad bike into the oncoming lane and crashed into a minibus at high speed. This was reported by lviv.media.

34-year-old Orest Salamakha was hospitalized in Lviv in critical condition. The deputy was resuscitated twice, but he died.
Photos published online show that as a result of the head-on collision, the driver's side of the minibus was damaged. The front part of the quad bike also sustained significant damage.

There is currently no information about other victims in the accident.
In 2020, Salamakha joined the council of the Lviv Regional Party "Servant of the People".
During the 2019 presidential elections, Salamakha was a confidant of the future president Volodymyr Zelensky.
Before 2019, he worked at his father-in-law's company, LLC "Bud Invest Kam", which is involved in development; he worked as a supply manager, deputy director for construction, and company director.
