According to Riabau, January bids farewell to winter relatively mildly: after prolonged frosts, warm air from the south, from the Mediterranean region, will begin to enter the country. However, true comfort is not to be expected — instead, Belarusians will encounter mixed precipitation: snow, wet snow, and rain. The weather will be cloudy, humid, windy, with fogs and temperatures typical of a thaw.

At the same time, the forecaster also noted a positive point: the daylight hours are increasing by approximately three minutes every day, which means that the movement towards spring has already begun.

On Monday, January 26, active atmospheric fronts from Southern Europe will arrive in the country. Cloudy weather, snow and wet snow are expected, and rain is possible in the west and southwest during the day. Roads will be slippery, with a gusty southeast wind. Overnight temperatures will range from -2 in the southwest to -14 in the northeast, and from +1 to -7 degrees during the day.

On Tuesday, January 27, the wind will shift to southerly and bring warmer, but still humid air. Temperatures will rise sharply: overnight from +2 in the south to -4 in the north, and from +3 to -2 degrees during the day. Precipitation and strong wind gusts will persist.

On Wednesday, January 28, the influence of atmospheric fronts will continue. Precipitation is forecast in many regions, especially intense in the west of the country. Fogs and ice are possible in places. Overnight it will be from 0 to -6 degrees, and during the day from +1 in Brest to -5 in Vitebsk.

On Thursday, January 29, Belarus will again be covered by a new wave of precipitation from the west. Wet snow and rain, damp and humid weather, fogs, and light ice are expected. The wind will be southerly and gusty. Temperatures throughout the day will range from -3 to +3 degrees, but will feel several degrees colder.

On Friday, January 30, no significant changes are expected: precipitation, wind, and the possibility of fogs and ice will persist in most areas. The temperature background will remain the same.

On the weekend, January 31 and February 1, the weather will be determined by the atmospheric fronts of the Baltic cyclone. The wind will become southwesterly and gusty. Fogs and slippery sections on roads are possible in places. On Saturday, wet snow and rain are forecast in the east of the country, with temperatures around 0 degrees overnight, and from -1 to +4 during the day. On Sunday, precipitation will spread almost throughout Belarus, and temperatures both day and night will hover around zero.
