Famous Hollywood actress Catherine O'Hara has passed away, her manager told Variety. The actress was 71 years old; the cause of death has not yet been named.
Catherine O'Hara was born in 1954 in Toronto, Canada. Her first major project was Martin Scorsese's film 'After Hours'. Later she appeared in Tim Burton's 'Beetlejuice'.
O'Hara gained the most fame from Chris Columbus' films 'Home Alone' and 'Home Alone 2', which were released in the early 1990s. In these, she played the mother of the main character, Kevin McCallister.
