Lukashenka's administration explained that the innovation is aimed at raising requirements for future officials and unifying approaches to their selection.
The exam will be conducted in the form of testing. The test will be developed by the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus and will be the same for all candidates. It is claimed that this will help reduce subjectivity and eliminate favoritism when hiring for public service.
The testing involves checking knowledge of the Constitution of Belarus, as well as other main legislative acts that all public servants must know.
The list of exam questions is planned to be made known in advance. A free demo version of the test will also be available, which will be posted on the website of the Academy of Public Administration.
