The US President has expanded the list of countries whose citizens are banned from entering the United States. This was reported on the White House website on December 16.

Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Syria were added to the list. In addition, the ban applies to holders of documents issued by the Palestinian Authority.

US authorities also expanded the list of countries whose citizens face partial entry restrictions. It includes 15 states: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The Trump administration stated that corruption is widespread in these countries, and their residents often have forged documents.
