China will allocate 300 million yuan in technical and economic assistance to Belarus. This is stipulated by an agreement on development cooperation, which was signed in Minsk on December 9, 2025, and is now published on the National Legal Portal.

These funds are planned to be directed towards the implementation of projects agreed upon by the parties. The document emphasizes that this includes small, socially oriented projects with limited funding and short implementation periods. Specific directions for the use of the money will be determined in separate additional agreements.
To facilitate funding, "Belarusbank" and the China Development Bank will open yuan accounts for each other without interest or commissions.
It is noted that this is not the first time Beijing has provided such assistance to Minsk. A similar agreement for the same amount was concluded in August 2024. At that time, the funds were used, in particular, for the development of information and communication technologies and the construction of a residential complex in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park "Great Stone".
According to the current exchange rate, 300 million Chinese yuan are equivalent to approximately 43 million US dollars.
