"Viasna": At least 175 detained in Hayun case

The total number of detainees is significantly higher.

"Viasna" has information about at least 175 confirmed individuals involved in the Hayun case who were taken into custody. The total number of detainees is significantly higher — "Viasna" knows about a series of detentions that occurred in 2026.

Trials in the "Hayun case" are taking place literally every day — since the beginning of the year, 69 people convicted of "facilitating extremism" have been added to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' "list of extremists." The vast majority of these people are involved specifically in the "Hayun case."

According to "Viasna," the defendants in the case are mostly sentenced to "home chemistry" (restricted freedom with compulsory labor/supervision), but there are also known cases where people are deprived of liberty.
