"The feeling of injustice is simply choking me." A herd of cows terrorizes an agritourism farm in Maladzyechna
In Maladzyechna, a herd of cows visited the "Childhood Dreams" agritourism farm three times during the night, and its owner, Nastassia Charniauskaya, is seeking justice. She shared her situation on TikTok, writes Kraj.by.
Cows that have been roaming the outskirts of Maladzyechna for several years are causing problems for local residents. Farmers Yury and Nastassia Charniauskaya are among those affected. On the night of February 4th, they had to chase cows away from their farmstead three times.
Nastassia said that she first drove them two kilometers towards the village of Nasilava, then herded them into the owners' yard, but 40 minutes later, the cows returned again. The third time they came was around two o'clock in the morning. The woman called the police, who registered a statement, but there has been no further outcome yet.
The owner notes that she feels injustice: she and her husband, along with their children, have worked on the farm all their lives, pay taxes, and care for their animals, while some people keep herds without care, do not prepare feed, and let cows graze freely in summer and winter — this is their source of income. According to her information, since November, the animals have been feeding in a pit belonging to the Lebedzevo agricultural organization, spoiling hay and harming local residents.
The Charniauskis' attempts to protect their farmstead were unsuccessful: they installed an electric fence, but the cows pulled it out and tore it apart. Therefore, Nastassia sees no way out of the situation on her own and wonders why the authorities do not force the owners to look after their animals.
The district executive committee promised to consider the issue and inform both Charniauskaya and the public about the measures taken.
