PHOTO FACT: This is what the former Valadarka, undergoing reconstruction, looks like now
A fresh photo of the 200-year-old Pishchalauski Castle, which until recently housed Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1, appeared in the Facebook group «Minsk — my city».

It was previously reported that, according to the developed concept, they plan to preserve 5 buildings that are historical and cultural values: the castle itself, a single-story building behind it, and first-line objects from Valadarski street, which are currently hidden behind a fence. Later additions and the fence will be dismantled.
As seen in the photo, the Soviet-era additions to the castle have already been demolished, and a good panoramic view of the castle itself has opened up.
After reconstruction, the buildings of the former prison will house catering facilities and administrative premises. The operators will be «Minatel», «Aqua-Minsk», «Belkoopsoyuz», business center «Stolitsa», shopping center «Stolitsa», «Kommunarka».
