The Belarusian Red Cross organized three mobile heating points in Minsk, Belta reported, citing Romana Zorina, chairwoman of the Minsk city organization of the BRC.
"Due to the cold weather, despite today being a non-working day, we have organized three mobile heating points in Minsk. Our staff and volunteers of the Belarusian Red Cross are working," said Romana Zorina.
According to her, the list of services is traditional. At the heating point, visitors are offered hot tea and sweets to warm up.
If necessary, one can get warm clothes, mittens, hats, a warm coat or jacket. They also provide general information on the necessity of using protective creams and other means, and teach first aid for frostbite.
The heating points are organized in three districts of the city: in Zavodski district (near the market), near Uruchcha metro station (at one of the bus stops on the way out of the city), and in Sovetsky district — in Selkhozposelok (Agricultural Village).
